Causes And Symptoms Of Prostatitis


Prostatitis is most common prostate gland disease. This term denotes inflammation of prostate gland, however, in fact this is common notion for various diseases with the next symptoms:
1) pains in pubic and pelvis regions (discomfort and pains in crotch, rectum with pain radiation in testes and penis)
2) pains during or after ejaculation, urination disorder (frequent and painful urination, weakening of urine stream,  sensation of incomplete urinary bladder emptying)
3) sexual disorder

Under mask of prostatitis may course various diseases of prostate gland: prostate cancer, colliculitis, cystitis, urinary tract diseases, vesiculitis, nervous system diseases, locomotorium. In some cases these diseases may threaten male's life.

Major prostatitis causes:
- peculiarities of prostate gland anatomical organization
- chronic inflammatory diseases (chronic bronchitis, tonsillitis, carious teeth)
- immune disorders including those caused by physical or psychological fatigue, junk food
- behavioral factors (general or local supercooling, coprostasia, sedentary lifestyle, longtime sexual continence or vise versa hypernormal sexual activity)

Acute prostatitis symptoms:
- sudden onset of disease
- high body temperature and poor overall health
- strong pains in crotch, above pubis, in penis, anus pains during defecation
- frequent painful urination
- sexual disorders

Chronic prostatitis symptoms:
- pains in genitalia and pelvic regions; pains above pubis and in crotch; pains in rectum with its radiation in testes, penis, crotch, inner sides of thighs; pains during or after ejaculation
- frequent painful urination, weakening of urine stream, sensation of incomplete urinary bladder emptying
- decreased libido, erectile dysfunctions, quick ejaculation or prolonged sexual intercourse, lowering of orgasm intensity
- emissions of urinary tract
- psychological disorders (depression, sleep disorder)

Asymptomic prostatitis
Asymptomic prostatitis is absence of any symptoms of the disease except increased amount of leucocytes. Asymptomic prostatitis may be detected after making laboratory tests and ultrasound investigation. Often such lack of symptoms may be a manifestation of prostate cancer.
